Our client is the central banking system of the United States, responsible for managing monetary policy, regulating financial institutions, providing banking services, and acting as a lender of last resort during financial crises.

About the role

We are looking for a Data Visualization Specialist to join our remote team and help transform the way we build and deliver applications. In this role, you will analyze and investigate data, generate dashboards and reports using Tableau, participate in web development, and partner with business lines to ensure data consistency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, development, and validation of emerging and ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, and dashboards to drive key business decisions using Tableau as your primary data visualization tool.
  • Design and develop intuitive dashboards and data visualization products using Tableau and other business intelligence tools.
  • Quickly learn new data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Einstein Analytics) to analyze results, evaluate performance, and project future trends and needs.
  • Champion processes and procedures across the organization.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Explore, extract, cleanse, and combine data from multiple sources and systems.
  • Continually improve data quality, build monitoring tools, and issue alerts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, design, and execute end-to-end solutions, as well as investigate new technologies to improve data pipelines.
  • Lead dashboard demo sessions, develop training materials, and produce dashboard documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional work experience.
  • Extensive experience building visualizations and dashboards to effectively tell a story behind the data.
  • Experience working on the UI using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight, or similar reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of information design principles and data visualization methods.
  • Robust portfolio outlining your work and previous projects.
  • Extensive problem-solving experience and a self-starter attitude.

Pay

USD 55.58/hr – USD 86.22/hr on W2.
