Data Engineer
About the role
This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, analytics platforms, and curated datasets that enable threat detection, cyber resiliency insights, and executive-level security reporting. The Data Engineer partners closely with Threat Management, Incident Response, Cyber Resiliency, Detection Engineering, and Analytics teams to transform high-volume security telemetry into trusted, scalable, and actionable data products. This role is execution-focused and directly supports enterprise-wide decision-making, threat response, and resiliency measurement across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, normalize, and enrich security telemetry (e.g., logs, alerts, events, signals) from multiple cyber defense platforms.
- Engineer reliable batch and near-real-time data flows to support threat detection, incident response, cyber resiliency analysis, and executive reporting.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, and consistency across security analytics datasets.
- Develop curated datasets, data models, and feature stores that enable advanced security analytics, threat hunting, and resiliency insights.
- Partner with analytics, detection engineers, and data scientists to operationalize analytics into reusable, production-grade data products.
- Optimize data structures to support dashboards, metrics, and key risk indicators consumed by leadership.
- Enable data-driven measurement of cyber resiliency, recovery readiness, and operational performance across critical products and infrastructure.
- Support incident response and post-incident analysis by ensuring timely availability of high-fidelity security data.
- Aid in developing data views that support exercises, simulations, and recovery validation activities.
- Implement data engineering best practices related to performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with architecture, platform, and governance teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise data and security standards.
- Support documentation, automation, and operational hand-off to ensure sustainability of data solutions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
