Data Engineer

Open Systems Technologies Corporation is seeking a Data Engineer to join our high-performing cyber team in support of a large government enterprise environment.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain CI Poly
• Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA)
• Five years of total IT experience

Responsibilities

• Work with open-source, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) technologies to create applications that generate manageable and actionable intelligence from structured and semi-structured data streams
• Develop data analytics for desktop and web-based visual analytic software
• Facilitate bulk analysis of relational information using advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing
• Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security
• Design and construct large relational databases
• Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structures and refine system performance and functionality

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in a data architect or data engineer role
• Experience developing ETL processes and pipelines
• Experience modeling complex data structures of varied formats
• Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting data into usable formats and support scaling, monitoring, and operating data platforms

Preferred Skills

• CRIBL experience
• Splunk experience
• Microsoft Sentinel experience
• Experience building data pipelines using Splunk, CRIBL, or similar SIEM/ETL tools
