$100,000 - $115,000 annually + MyShare Equity Program

Onsite 0-1 days per week in Romeoville, depending on business needs.

Job Purpose

The Job Purpose is to serve as a Data Engineer involved with the engineering and maintenance of RJW's data warehouse environment. The goal is to make the company more efficient and provide better customer service through connecting the business and technology teams. The Data Engineer must maintain smooth communications between business-critical systems and ensure easy transitions when changes or maintenance are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be able to prioritize multiple projects, while meeting deadlines and quality expectations
• Must be able to adapt quickly in a changing environment
• Has strong interpersonal communication skills working with both internal and external customers
• Able to relate or explain technical information to non-industry personnel
• Adept at working with cross-functional IT teams to meet customer objectives
• Responds quickly to identify and resolve issues
• Proven critical and analytical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Motivated and results-driven attitude
• Some after-hours support depending on business requirements
• Experience with the following will be viewed as a plus: Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, both SQL Server and Oracle, Data Democratization, Language Skills Sets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related technology field
• 3+ years experience with SQL & ETL development
• 3+ years experience in data warehouse environments
• 3+ years experience with reporting tools including SSRS and Crystal Reports
• 3+ years experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau

Physical Requirements

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons
• Articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others
• Regularly work in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion
• Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk
• Work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required
• Work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time
• Read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision
• Ability to hear speech out of both ears in the normal range of 30db at 500 to 2000 Hz range
• Speak and communicate clearly over telephones
• Sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances
