Data Engineer

About the role

We're partnering with a dynamic and innovative consulting firm that specialises in delivering robust IT solutions and driving digital transformation for various clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines
• Build and optimize parallel jobs, server jobs, and sequences
• Work with source-to-target mappings, data transformations, and business rules
• Collaborate with technical leads and analysts to understand data requirements
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of data processing jobs
• Support data migration, integration, and warehouse loading activities

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage (Parallel Extender/PX)
• Proficiency in complex SQL and data transformation logic
• Experience with data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema, SCD types)
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools (Control-M, AutoSys)
• Experience with QualityStage
