About the role
The Springfield Public Schools seeks a dedicated individual to join our team as a Student Information Technician. This role involves performing various technical duties related to student information systems and fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Enter data into various systems to maintain proper and accurate records
- Maintain discretion when working with teachers, counselors, administrators, students, and parents
- Foster a positive learning environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High Diploma or equivalent (GED), or Associate’s Degree preferred
- Adequate technology skills to effectively navigate the district’s Student Information System (PowerSchool)
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience working with students who have experienced educational disengagement
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse educational setting
- Computer literacy required
- Bi-lingual preferred
