Data Center Technician III

Responsibilities

• Provide implementation and support services across platforms including telephony, network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/SAN), server hardware and storage devices.
• Install, support, and decommission activities related to the above-mentioned platforms.
• Cable, label, and test server and network connectivity (fiber and copper).
• Diagnose and correct issues related to the supported platforms.
• Perform critical space management.
• Manage asset inventory and adhere to change and incident management policies.
• Work 5-8 hour shifts on a 2nd shift schedule with rotational on-call responsibility.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, WAN, LAN, SAN, voice technologies.
• Basic understanding of enterprise data center facilities infrastructure including Power/Cooling/Fire suppression/Security-Access Control.
• Experience with racking and stacking and cabling and labeling of servers.
• Experience with telecommunications test equipment, specifically Fluke network testers, Network analyzers, carrier circuit test gear capable of Ethernet/DWDM/SONET and cable media testers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in structured cabling concepts and practices.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data center facilities infrastructure including Power/Cooling/Fire suppression/Security-Access Control.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

Pay

$55,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Schedule

5-8 hour shifts on a 2nd shift schedule with rotational on-call responsibility.
