About the role
AWS is seeking Data Center Technicians to support our customers in multiple locations. This position requires the successful candidate to report to a site location. The role involves ensuring overall availability and reliability of data center operations, including responding to operational incidents and participating in an emergency response rotation.
Responsibilities
- Perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, and troubleshoot network issues
- Respond to operational incidents that impact service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed
- Serve as a primary contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors
- Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues
- Help train and onboard new team members
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of relevant experience in data center operations, IT support, or a similar technical field
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or above, or Network or Security certification
- Experience working in a Data Center environment
- Understanding of network design, protocols, and troubleshooting
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
- Understanding of in-depth hardware knowledge (e.g., PCIe)

Pay
The starting pay for the DCO III role is $30.77/hour. Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
Schedule
This position requires shift work that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required.
