Data Center Technician III

About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services supports all AWS data centers and ensures customers have continuous access to the cloud. This position involves collaborating with various teams to maintain high standards of safety and security, delivering maximum capacity at minimum cost.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents
• Serve as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives
• Help train and onboard new team members

Requirements

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
• Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
• Work in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 1+ years of relevant experience in data center operations, IT support, or a similar technical field
• Associate's degree or above, or Network or Security certification
• Experience working in a Data Center environment
• Understanding of network design, protocols, and troubleshooting
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
• Understanding of in-depth hardware knowledge (e.g., PCIe)

Pay

The starting pay for the Data Center Technician III role is $30.77/hour.

Schedule

This position requires shift work that includes days/nights/weekends/holidays. Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required.
