About the role
Controlled Contamination Services has been a national provider of facility solutions, technical and decontamination services since 1993. Our clients are in Life Sciences, Technology, IT, Defense, and Aerospace industries. The Data Center Cleaning Technician I plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence and cleanliness standards of our controlled environments, ensuring all surfaces—including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors—are meticulously maintained to meet strict data center cleanliness guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines, continually monitoring procedures to ensure timely and correct completion.
- Micro-clean all surfaces within general and critical environments, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors.
- Follow customer standard operating procedures (SOPs) in precise detail, including documentation.
- Identify deviations in cleaning and implement corrective and preventative actions (variances).
- Review changes to SOP/SOW documentation and re-train as needed.
- Assist in cross-training other Controlled Contamination Services personnel.
- Participate in continuous training: Data Center, technical skills, safety, and performance improvement.
- Perform all other duties as defined by supervisor.
Requirements
- Must become familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.
- Ability to learn and understand Scope of Work and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Pass a background check and I-9 verification.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic math skills: ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand, walk, lift/climb, talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Must be able to reach with hands or arms.
- Weight/force requirement: up to 40 pounds.
- Exposure to loud environments (e.g., metal can manufacturing, large earth-moving equipment).
