Data Center Technician - Ellendale, ND
About the role
The Data Center Technician works well with others to ensure overall availability and reliability of data center operations. This role is full-time, salaried, and in-person at the new Ellendale, ND Data Center.
Responsibilities
- Maintain data center operations to ensure availability and reliability of service levels
- Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
- Root cause analysis of hardware and software failures
- Train internal teams
- Develop documentation
- Provide technical support to data center teams
- Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware
- Maintain inventory
- Assemble and install equipment
- Perform maintenance of test and tools equipment
- Occasional travel to other data centers as needed
Requirements
- Computer Hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling)
- Linux Operating System experience
- Computer Networking experience
- Python, Bash or other scripting languages experience
- Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
- An Associates Degree or equivalent experience in an IT related field
Qualifications
- Hands-on OR educational based experience with any of the following areas: Computer Hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills experience
- 3+ years of data center experience
- Experience with Python, Bash or other scripting languages
- Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
- An Associates Degree or equivalent experience in an IT related field
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $85,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
Pay
