Data Center Technician

About the role

Our client is seeking an Intermediate level Data Center Technician with a passion for technology and computer hardware. The technician will handle physical upgrades, implementation, optimizations, and troubleshooting onsite for the data center, deploy circuit boards, run diagnostics, create documentation, and more.

Responsibilities

• Address customer inquiries via support tickets from inception through resolution with minimal or no supervision.
• Support data center operations and IT systems, network services, and business‑critical processes to enable delivery of customer products and services.
• Provide technical and operational support related to colocation, connectivity, and network products and services.
• Support internal networks, IT infrastructure, computers, electronics, and telephone systems.
• Install and deploy IT and network hardware.
• Make and run patch cables and verify testing cable paths.
• Support maintenance of infrastructure, network equipment, and network services, including break‑fix work.
• Perform data center hardware and inventory audits.

Requirements

• Intermediate level (minimum of 6 months of IT experience).

Pay

$24.00 per hour.

Location & Schedule

Contract position, fully onsite in Rockdale, TX.
