Data Center Technician

About the role

Location: Burlington, TX (4020 County Road 134, Burlington, Texas, 76519, United States). Contract length: 6 Month Contract-to-hire. Seeking a Data Center Technician with experience in data center and structured cabling environments or fiber optics. This role will support fiber optic installations, testing, troubleshooting, and cable infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate fiber optic and structured cabling systems.
• Perform rack-and-stack work in data center environments.
• Conduct fiber testing using OTDRs, power meters, and related tools.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and maintain cable documentation.
• Read blueprints, cable schedules, and network diagrams.
• Follow OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $28.00 per hour. Lodging and/or Per Diem are awarded to those who are 90 miles+ from the site (Burlington, TX). Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
