Data Center Technician
About the role
NTT is forming a Tiger team of L2 datacenter technicians to support Google’s Hi‑Fiber initiative, which replaces legacy coax cable with fiber‑optic infrastructure. The team will be the first on‑site at new Google locations to establish processes and procedures for the initial 6‑8 weeks of each deployment, then move to the next site. During periods between projects they will work on‑site at the Google datacenter in their home market. Technicians must be able to step in immediately, handle troubleshooting, cable replacement, rack and stack, and hardware tasks. Eventually level‑1 cable pullers will be brought in for long‑term completion. This is a contract position based in Lenoir, NC, fully onsite, with approximately 75% nationwide travel and 25% home‑market work. The posting is expected to close on October 20, 2026.
