Data Center Technician
Responsibilities
- Serve as one of many primary resolvers for your support team skilled at troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware infrastructure issues.
- Support and share knowledge of these technologies with team members.
- Possess basic to intermediate system administration skills and work autonomously to resolve server issues.
- Understand all aspects of the equipment you support.

Requirements
- Schedule flexibility required, including potential night shift positions.
- Shift options include Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM or 7:30 AM–6:00 PM.
- Contingent workers are expected to work holidays if scheduled (regular pay, not holiday pay).
- First two weeks: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (Training).
- Schedule modifications will be communicated in advance when possible.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Understand power paths, cabling standards, hardware layouts, environmental telemetry, and root‑cause behaviors.
- Dig into rack‑level problems, cabling issues, power anomalies, and equipment behavior at a detailed level.
- Address ISP layer infrastructure issues including power faults, cabling failures, thermal excursions, or alarms quickly.
- Perform ISP physical layer work such as cabling, labeling, patching, rack power installs, inspections with precision, cleanliness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Ensure reliability, safety, and audit readiness across the data hall.
Physical Environment And Safety Protocols
- Must successfully pass through metal detection equipment daily.
- Work in data center environments with variable temperature conditions.
- Work areas may contain environmental allergens and airborne particles including dust.
Job Type & Location
Contract position based out of Boardman, OR.
Pay And Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
