Data Center Technician

About the Role

This is a Contract position based out of Childress, TX, requiring a fully onsite presence. The role involves hands-on experience with GPU deployment, configuration, and multi-node testing, as well as managing and upgrading server systems, firmware, and related components.

Responsibilities

• Perform cluster-level code upgrades as per approved versions and compatibility guidelines.
• Configure, validate access, and perform health checks of iDRAC.
• Troubleshoot and provide lifecycle management support for iDRAC.
• Update server, BIOS, NIC, storage, and related firmware, ensuring version alignment and post-update validation.
• Utilize Redfish APIs for system management and monitoring, including customization and automation.
• Configure and manage BlueField DPUs.

Requirements

• PowerEdge Rack/Tower Experience.
• NVIDIA certifications.
• Deep hands-on experience with GPU deployment, configuration, and multi-node testing using NVIDIA Base Command Manager.
• Proficiency with benchmarking tools: HPL, STREAM, NCCL, RCCL, MxP, OSU Microbenchmarks.
• Red Hat certification (RHCSA/RHCE) or 7+ years of relevant RH distros experience.
• Experience with GenAI/HPC networking (InfiniBand and/or RoCE).
• Experience working in Linux-based parallel computing environments at scale.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (desirable).
• NVIDIA certifications (NCA, NCE, DGX) (desirable).
• Experience with NVIDIA UFM, Infiniband, and SpectrumX fabrics (desirable).
• Exposure to hybrid cloud or GPU cloud environments (desirable).
• Experience with GPU observability/performance profiling tools (desirable).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
