About the role
The Data Center Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of CoreWeave’s physical assets. This position involves hardware and network diagnostics, repairs, root cause analysis, training, documentation development, and technical support.
Responsibilities
- Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability.
- Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs.
- Root cause analysis of hardware and software failures.
- Train internal teams.
- Develop documentation.
- Provide technical support to data center teams.
- Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware.
- Maintain inventory.
- Assemble and install equipment.
- Perform maintenance of test and tool equipment.
- Able to respond to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while on scheduled on-call.
Requirements
- Computer Hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling).
- Linux Operating System experience.
- Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods to perform diagnostic and repair tasks.
- Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces, such as under-floor areas or on ladders, to access server racks.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as handling small hardware components and cables.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including participating in a rotating on-call shift.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues.
- Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled data center.
- Candidates must be able to perform essential job duties in an environment with fluctuating temperatures and variable airflow - specifically within designated hot and cold aisles - ranging from 60°F to 90°F.
Qualifications
- Hands-on OR education-based experience with any of the following areas: Computer Hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills experience, Data Center experience, Computer Networking experience, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages experience, Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS, An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $83,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
Schedule
This is a salaried, 100% onsite role at one of our Data Center locations.
