About the role

This position involves hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repair, and may include participation in an on-call rotation. This is a salaried, 100% onsite role at one of our data center locations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability
  • Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
  • Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures
  • Train internal teams
  • Develop documentation
  • Provide technical support to data center teams
  • Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware
  • Maintain inventory
  • Assemble and install equipment
  • Perform maintenance of test and tool equipment
  • Travel up to 10% of the time to other data center locations as required by business needs
  • Respond to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while on scheduled on-call

Requirements

  • Computer hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling)
  • Linux operating system experience
  • Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods to perform diagnostic and repair tasks
  • Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces, such as under-floor areas or on ladders, to access server racks
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as handling small hardware components and cables
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including participating in a rotating on-call shift
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues
  • Ability to perform essential job duties in an environment with fluctuating temperatures and variable airflow ranging from 60°F to 90°F

Qualifications

  • Hands-on or education-based experience with any of the following areas:
    • Computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills
    • Data center experience
    • Computer networking experience
    • Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
    • Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $83,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. CoreWeave strives for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, the total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
