A summary

Data Center Technicians support AWS customers in multiple locations, ensuring high availability and reliability of data center operations. Responsibilities include server rack installations, hardware repairs, network troubleshooting, and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, and network troubleshooting
• Respond to operational incidents impacting service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed
• Serve as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance and change management activities
• Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on operational issues
• Help train and onboard new team members

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
• 1+ years of computer networking experience

Basic requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred qualifications

• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution
• Operating efficiently under pressure
• Experience dealing with customers during problem resolution
