Data Center Team Lead - Day Shift

This role is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function, focused on technical maintenance services in critical client environments. It is a nightshift position requiring on-site presence at the Data Center facility in Colorado City, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
  • Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
  • React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
  • Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
  • Conduct building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
  • Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
  • Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures, following all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
  • Complete all required training to ensure successful execution of job-related responsibilities.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems with limited discretion.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
  • Must meet the physical requirements of the role.
  • Ability to effectively present information to internal departments, clients, management, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills, including calculating percentages, discounts, and markups.

Skills

  • Technical expertise in electrical/mechanical systems: UPS, PDUs, LV/MV switchgear, panel boards, transfer switches (ATS/STS), grounding, three-phase power basics, diesel generator interfaces, CRAC/CRAH equipment, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and N+1 concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
