About the role
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Austin, TX, supporting structural engineering activities across a large-scale, multi-site data center development portfolio from early-stage planning through construction completion.
The ideal candidate has experience with steel and concrete structural systems, mission-critical facility design, and large-scale industrial or hyperscale data center projects.
Responsibilities
- Support structural engineering activities across multiple data center development projects from planning through construction
- Coordinate structural design efforts with geotechnical, civil, architectural, and MEP engineering teams
- Review and support development of structural systems including steel, concrete, foundations, and building envelope components
- Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to maintain alignment on structural requirements and project execution
- Assist with structural analysis, design coordination, permitting support, and construction administration activities
- Review drawings, calculations, specifications, and engineering deliverables for compliance with project requirements and applicable codes
- Support evaluation of site conditions, constructability considerations, and foundation design requirements
- Coordinate structural requirements for mission-critical infrastructure systems including equipment pads, raised floor systems, and MEP support structures
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and project meetings to support construction progress and issue resolution
- Contribute to continuous improvement of structural engineering standards and best practices across the development portfolio
Requirements
- 4+ years of structural engineering experience, including experience supporting data center or mission-critical development projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering focus
- Experience designing steel and concrete structural systems for mission-critical facilities
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or active pursuit of licensure with expected completion within 6 months
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, ETABS, RISA, and RAM Structural Systems
- Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC standards
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
- Willingness to travel to project sites across the United States (approximately 20–30%)
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred
- Experience with hyperscale data centers, industrial facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred
- Familiarity with FM Global standards and equipment anchorage requirements preferred
- Experience with PEMB structures and tilt-up concrete construction preferred
- Knowledge of raised floor systems, equipment pad design, and overhead MEP support structures preferred

Pay
The pay for this position ranges from approximately $72.12/hr – $96.15/hr based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
