We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Site Manager to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

Responsibilities

  • Empowering a culture of safety, security, compliance, and transparency in all aspects of data center activities
  • Leading and managing a team of high-performing individual contributors at a data center site and their ongoing talent development
  • Financial administration of site activities and staff members, tracking budgets, payments, and pay cycles
  • Managing and overseeing data center site services, resources, and deployment across the data center for the client
  • Collaborating and coordinating with multiple internal business groups to ensure the successful delivery of service levels
  • Analyzing production operations and initiating corrective actions to ensure operational stability
  • Initiating and establishing quality standards for the data center teams and managing those initiatives through to completion
  • Lead through change and challenge by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering success
  • Operating, monitoring, maintaining, and responding to abnormal conditions in facilities systems
  • Completing planned and ad-hoc preventive maintenance work assignments requiring the skill and direction of several engineering, mechanical, and maintenance trades
  • Conducting periodic inspections of building systems, i.e., HVAC, electrical distribution, maintaining mechanical equipment rooms to ensure clean and safe conditions
  • Rapid response, investigation, and management of indoor emergency situations and air quality complaints
  • Having a complete working knowledge on creating, closing, and tracking "work requests" (WR)
  • Initiating or responding to work orders, following up and verifying completion of work
  • Monitoring performance/note deficiencies of service contractors and recommending changes as necessary
  • Managing the workload across all shifts and resources, ensuring a balanced approach to work activity, tasks, and the accomplishment of results and outcomes
  • In collaboration with the Human Resources manager, performing the functions and planning regarding shift cycles, people and resource deployment, payment, salaries, and other related staff activities, as they may arise
  • Performing other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3+ years of directly related experience in the operation, installation, and maintenance of data center critical equipment, building systems with in-depth technical understanding and knowledge of all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two+ years’ experience in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units, and CRAC units
  • Good observation skills and problem-solving ability

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks
  • Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
  • Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies
  • Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
  • Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
  • Ability to work in environments with a wide variety of temperature inside a facility
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
  • Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
  • Possession of a valid driver's license for work-related travel, as required
