Data Center Senior Civil Engineer, DCDE AMER Civil

About the role

Manage our external civil design consultants through the Data Center design and construction process.
Review designs for site layout, grading, power substations, storm water, utilities, and pavement.
Cook up designs for site layout concepts using Civil 3D, incorporating grading, utilities, and circulation patterns while maintaining flexibility for design evolution.
Communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
Create, review, and release design RFPs for various projects, including DCs and special program facilities.
Manage multiple fast paced projects simultaneously.
Foresee and manage internal Technical Program Manager’s (TPM’s) expectation regarding project-specific cost and schedules variables.
Develop and lead initiatives aimed at improving cost, quality, schedule, and consistency.
Travel for site assessments, internal design meetings, construction review, and interfacing with authorities having jurisdiction (15 to 25%).

Requirements

Professional Engineer License
Knowledge of site development codes and regulations.
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for site development.
Experience with low impact development strategies and designing and deploying sustainable design features.
Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment.
Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience in data center design, construction and operations

Skills

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
