Data Center Security Specialist , DCC Communities
AWS’ Infrastructure Physical Security Team is looking for a Data Center Security Specialist with experience working in critical infrastructure installations, ideally data centers.
About the role
As a Data Center Security Specialist, you will drive operational security excellence in a control room setting or across several facilities within a short driving distance. Your vigilance will foster a culture of quality and support proactive identification of physical security vulnerabilities for remediation. You will interface with and direct security vendors involved in new security construction, repairs, daily security operations, patrols, and planning. By analyzing hard data, you will extract metrics and observe improvements, advise on security system enhancements, and lead security awareness training for data center occupants. You will also develop security procedures, reports, presentations, and advise leadership on physical security operations status.
As this is a GovCloud region, the selected candidate requires US Citizenship or equivalent status.
Responsibilities
- Complete standard tasks for operational security as part of a security operations team across multiple facilities.
- Drive security awareness campaigns to enhance vigilance and effectiveness.
- Use tools to complete workflow ticketing and analyze data to track key performance metrics.
- Lead security investigations across campus facilities.
- Oversee physical security vendors providing guards, electronic security systems, door construction/repair, fencing, and access controls.
- Promote security strategy and culture daily to achieve security goals.
- Support or own security projects.
- Provide security awareness training to data center personnel.
- Write and implement security procedures, reports, and develop presentations.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvements.
- Experience using CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems.
- Experience with various Access/Intrusion control Systems in a Control room environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of security operations oversight experience.

USA, OR, Hermiston - $24.27 - $42.54 USD hourly.
