Data Center Security Specialist, CMH-Plain City Security

About the role

AWS is growing rapidly and is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to join its Infrastructure Operations team. This role will manage and improve site security operations in AWS data centers.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical security operations, develop post orders, define security procedures, handle site incidents, work with security equipment, participate in construction projects, and drive day-to-day process improvement activities.
• Manage vendors and ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures.
• Participate in recurring site audits and reviews and test new security technologies.

Requirements

• Resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in a dynamic environment, exceptional knowledge of security practices, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors experience.
• 6+ months' experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of law enforcement or security-related experience.

Skills

Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in dynamic situations are essential.
