Data Center Security Specialist, CMH- Jeffersonville Security

About the role

AWS is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to join our Infrastructure Operations team. This role will manage and improve site security operations in our data centers, ensuring consistent deployment of security policies and procedures, and driving process improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical security operations, develop post orders, define security procedures, handle site incidents, and participate in construction projects.
• Ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures.
• Participate in recurring site audits and reviews and test new security technologies.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors experience.
• 6+ months' experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
• Experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs such as access control/intrusion detection and CCTV surveillance systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of law enforcement, or 8+ years of security-related professional experience.
• 1+ years of team leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of law enforcement or security-related experience.
