About the role

AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team, who will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage physical security operations
  • Develop post orders and define security procedures
  • Handle site incidents and work with security equipment
  • Participate in construction projects and drive day-to-day process improvement activities
  • Manage vendors
  • Ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures
  • Participate in recurring site audits, reviews, and testing of new security technologies

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain. You’ll collaborate with software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with access control and CCTV systems
  • 6+ months' experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment
  • Additional education or training in security-related fields is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of law enforcement, or 8+ years of security-related professional experience
  • 1+ years of team leadership experience
  • College Degree (Bachelors) or background in one or more of: Military (Career/Military Police/Military Special Operations Forces), Law Enforcement with Arrest Authority (Police Academy Graduate), TSA Security Screening, Correctional Facility Officer

Pay

USA, IN, Hobart - $28.89 - $50.52 USD hourly
