Data Center Security Specialist

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) serves customers and developers who rely on storage, compute, and our other service capabilities. We are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team, who will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical security operations
• Develop post orders and define security procedures
• Handle site incidents and work with security equipment
• Participate in construction projects and drive day-to-day process improvement activities
• Manage vendors
• Ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures
• Participate in re-occurring site audits, reviews, and testing of new security technologies

Must demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in a dynamic environment, exceptional knowledge of security practices, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of security operations oversight experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant professional or military, or 2+ years of law enforcement or security-related experience
• 1+ year of leadership experience
• 2+ years of security experience or equivalent (demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education)
