Position Summary

The Project Manager I provides oversight and coordination of projects/programs with medium to large scopes and/or complexity. They lead project and program teams, manage stakeholder communication, and ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Oversees and coordinates all aspects of project execution and client experience.
    • Develops project proposals, contracts, and budgets; may support proposal development on larger projects.
    • Plans and coordinates project deliverables.
    • Manages client service and project communication.
    • Monitors and ensures adherence to budgets and financial expectations.
    • Responsible for overall project performance and quality standards.
    • Manages relationships with project sub-consultants.
  • Program Management (where applicable)
    • Develops program contracts, project fee matrices, and specific program project fees.
    • Manages client service and communication for program projects.
    • Oversees program scheduling and execution.
  • Quality
    • Monitors project quality expectations and ensures deliverables meet objectives.
    • Understands scope and fees to mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provides technical insight and resolves project conflicts proactively.
  • Client Experience
    • Serves as the primary project/program contact and brand ambassador.
    • Maintains regular communication with clients and sub-consultants to ensure satisfaction.
    • Resolves project-related conflicts and balances stakeholder interests.
    • Partners with sector leadership to support business development strategies.
  • Team & Technical Leadership
    • Directs project/program team members and oversees Project Coordinators.
    • Advises, coaches, and mentors less experienced team members.
    • Recommends training, development, and mentoring initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, science, technology, or business preferred. 4 years of relevant AEC/Professional Services experience may substitute for education.
  • 8 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 4 years in project management.
  • Proficiency in project management standards and building design/construction principles.
  • Project management certification preferred; PE license recommended.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in core competencies (communication, integrity, quality, etc.).
  • Self-starter with ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Pay

Individual salaries may vary based on factors unrelated to race, gender, or other protected characteristics. The Denver salary range for this role is $83,600 – $125,400.
