About the role
The Data Center Project Manager will join HDR's Building Engineering Services team in Ohio/Pennsylvania. Our team specializes in Science and Technology, Mission Critical, and Commercial projects. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in the mission critical environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead design teams and projects from start to finish
- Coordinate and work closely with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, marketing members, and all other team members
- Maintain client relationships and manage team members through all phases of the project
- Manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion
- Mentor, organize, and facilitate the growth of staff
- Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
- Help grow a team that works together to create a collaborative environment that promotes career growth, the production of high-quality construction documents, client satisfaction, and acts as a safety net for each other
- Establish client relations, and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings
- Aid in developing fee proposals and scope of work documents
- Promote HDR through regular client interface
- Collaborate on development strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, and production methods and standards, to achieve the established goals and objectives of the business group, region and company
- Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards
- Manage and lead project teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction
- Forecast, invoice, and manage contracts
- Create vital proposal content including scope, schedule, and budget
- Aid in HDR's interview and interview preparation/presentations
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the areas of site programming, project planning, design, construction and/or commissioning
- Previous Data Center/Mission Critical experience in an architectural/engineering, or engineering consulting firm is desired
- Strong desire to stay current with the trends of the fast-paced industry of mission critical
- Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
