Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead large-scale network infrastructure deployment initiatives. This role will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end deployment activities, managing cross-functional stakeholders, overseeing vendor execution, and ensuring successful delivery of physical network infrastructure projects across multiple sites. The ideal candidate is an infrastructure/network deployment Project Manager who combines strong project management discipline with genuine fluency in structured cabling and physical network infrastructure to credibly plan, sequence, and validate physical build-out work.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the integrated ADO deployment tracker, covering building status, cabling, hardware, contractor status, engineering readiness, validation progress, risks, blockers, and migration handoff status.
- Translate survey data, building inventory, port-density information, rack layouts, and cabling requirements into actionable per-building deployment plans.
- Coordinate low-voltage cabling work, including initiating quotes, scheduling contractors, arranging access, tracking installations, and reviewing completion.
- Manage cross-dependencies between cabling, rack/stack, switch installation, power readiness, patching, and engineering configuration.
- Run or contribute to readiness reviews to confirm sites are installed, patched, powered, configured, and ready for validation.
- Interface with network engineering on switch configuration, validation requirements, and site-specific technical questions.
- Coordinate with building managers and stakeholders on readiness and migration timing.
- Escalate risks and blockers promptly and prepare weekly status summaries.
- Continuously refine the repeatable deployment playbook for scaling.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of project or program management experience supporting technical and infrastructure initiatives.
- 3+ years of infrastructure/network deployment project management with Azure DevOps (ADO) for execution planning, milestone tracking, and dependency management.
- 3+ years of experience with structured cabling and physical infrastructure knowledge, including standards (TIA/EIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801, BICSI), data center layouts, and media types (fiber/copper).
- 3+ years of experience in vendor and contractor coordination for physical build-outs, including quoting, scheduling, and installation tracking within structured change processes (ITIL).
- Proven experience driving site-by-site infrastructure deployment programs.
- Experience maintaining physical/logical topology maps and working with CMDB or inventory systems.
- Strong written communication for status reporting, readiness checklists, and handoff packages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with physical network audits and as-built documentation reconciliation.
- Familiarity with data handling in Excel (formulas, pivots) and Kusto/KQL for data retrieval.
- Structured cabling or data center certifications (e.g., BICSI, CDCDP).
- General networking certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS).
- A recognized project management credential (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or CAPM).
Benefits
- Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other supplemental insurance plans.
- Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) and 401K program (company match after 12 months of tenure).
- Health Savings Account (HSA) on the HDHP plan.
- SupportLinc Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with up to 8 free counseling sessions.
- Corporate discount savings program and other discounts.
- On-demand training program, certification prep, and library of technical and leadership courses/books/seminars (available after 6+ months of tenure).
- Certification discounts and perks through associations including CompTIA and IIBA.
