About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities.
  • Create plans to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns.
  • Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately.
  • Work with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
  • Communicate regularly with vendors to resolve issues and help them understand our business requirements.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and resolve questions from peer organizations.
  • Ensure all billing associated with the Inventory supply chain is accurate, validated, and ready for processing; work with AP to reconcile invoice discrepancies.
  • Perform manual tasks such as assembling, addressing, stamping, and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations.
  • Unpack boxes and verify contents of incoming shipments.
  • Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.
  • Adhere to strict safety standards, maintain high quality, and operate powered equipment (e.g., forklift or cherry picker).

Work Environment

  • Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts.
  • Noise level varies and can be loud.
  • Temperature between 60 and 90 degrees, occasionally exceeding 90 degrees.
  • Overtime may be required as needed by the business.
  • Physical demands include:
    • Lifting loads of up to 40 pounds and carrying them for short distances.
    • Participating in group lifts of 41 pounds or more.
    • Pushing or pulling heavy objects into position.
    • Working in a noisy environment.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of logistics experience.
  • 1+ years of shipping & receiving, inventory, and warehousing practices experience.
  • 1+ years of material forecasting experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience setting up and building out storage facilities and layouts.
  • Experience working with vendors and providing clear directions.
  • Ability to create and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Understanding of general business accounting and finance.

Pay

USA, TX, Mansfield - $24.00 - $42.00 USD hourly.
