Data Center Lead Fiber Technician
About the role
We are actively seeking 2 Lead Fiber Technicians and 2 Low Voltage Helpers to assist with fiber optic and structured cabling installations. Additional openings may become available as the project expands. This is an excellent opportunity for technicians looking to gain experience with a company that is rapidly growing its self-perform installation business across the United States. This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE. The position is anticipated to close on Sep 18, 2026.
We are seeking motivated technicians at the intermediate experience level who have experience with fiber, Cat6, and low-voltage installations. Ideal candidates are dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working in construction environments, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced project team.

Responsibilities
- Install, route, and support low-voltage cabling systems
- Pull, dress, and secure fiber optic and Cat6 cabling
- Label and document cable runs
- Terminate fiber and copper cabling
- Perform testing and troubleshooting using Fluke testing equipment
- Read and follow project drawings and installation standards
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Support project milestones and quality standards on a commercial construction site
- Lead Technician Responsibilities (in addition to the above):
- Coordinate daily work activities with onsite supervision
- Mentor and direct helper-level technicians
- Perform fiber terminations and testing
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
