Data Center Fiber Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, route, dress, and secure copper and fiber optic cabling throughout data center facilities
• Label, test, and document cable runs according to customer and project specifications
• Install cable pathways, ladder racks, trays, and support structures
• Read and follow basic diagrams, work orders, and installation instructions
• Maintain organized work areas and adhere to all safety requirements

Qualifications

• Preferred Experience: Structured Cabling Experience (copper or Fiber)
• Data center, telecommunications, or low-voltage installation experience
• Construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, or other hands-on trade experience

Skills

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow directions and pay attention to detail
• Comfortable working in active construction or data center environments
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic familiarity with hand tools

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Climb ladders and work in overhead spaces
• Bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods
• Work in large-scale data center and construction environments
