Data Center Engineer - Memphis, TN

About the role

Provider Field Engineers will provide troubleshooting, repair, parts ordering, preventative maintenance and installation of Dell products located at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Dell products
• Order parts and manage parts locker (inbound/outbound)
• Perform preventative maintenance and installation
• Triage issues with direction from Dell Support
• Execute plan of action from Dell Domain Engineer/L3
• Document POA results, logs, and service reports (including part numbers/PPID of old/new parts replaced) and send to Dell via case email
• Reseat, swap, or replace parts
• Conduct server testing and validation (run diagnostics, capture and upload logs)
• Upgrade firmware as needed
• Manage spare parts separate from parts locker during CW server deployments
• Process parts returns to Dell

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• May require technical certification or an Associate Degree
• Generally 4‑6 years’ experience in the area of responsibility
• Eligibility for any required U.S. government export‑control authorizations (role may involve access to export‑controlled commodities and technology)
