Data Center Engineer

Troubleshooting and Testing

• Troubleshoot, test, and perform quality assurance on Server hardware.
• Resolve hardware issues through the use of trouble tickets.

Physical Demands

• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Technical Skills

• Basic Networking Knowledge.
• Safety requirements for data center environments.
• Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux, Unix.
• Cabling knowledge including understanding of port mapping and cable types.
• Understanding of basic hardware troubleshooting and logical problem-solving methods.
• Experience with RAID levels (a plus).
• Experience with Web Server and Database installations (a plus).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum technical experience with basic computer hardware asset knowledge.
• Experience with MVS System Administration (a plus).
