About the role
We are seeking a network engineer to join our team. This position is based in Madison, WI, and offers financial relocation assistance.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure
- Ensure efficient and effective operation of IT equipment in data centers
- Investigate and implement modern switching and routing platforms
- Configure firewall rules
- Design and troubleshoot data center and WAN connectivity
- Leverage technologies like Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code deployments
- Collaborate with a small, dedicated team to maintain the company’s IT systems
Requirements
- Extremely detailed and organized
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Strong documentation, project management, and communication skills
- Troubleshooting abilities
- Previous information technology experience, especially with Cisco IOS or NX-OS platforms (preferred)
Qualifications
- Experience with data center, server, or network engineering
Skills
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS or NX-OS platforms (preferred)
