What’s the Job?
Provide independent oversight of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous energy control programs throughout all phases of data center construction and commissioning.
Review and validate energy isolation procedures, MOPs, SOPs, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and permit-to-work documentation to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Conduct field audits of electrical and mechanical isolation activities, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70E, OSHA, and project-specific safety requirements.
Cook up coordination of energy isolation activities between general contractors, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and operations to minimize risk to live data center environments.
Serve as the owner's electrical safety SME by providing technical guidance, identifying risks, and supporting safe execution of high-risk electrical work.
What’s Needed?
- 7+ years of experience in electrical systems, power distribution (LV/MV/HV), and mission-critical construction or hyperscale data center environments.
- Strong expertise in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazardous energy control, and NFPA 70E Electrical Safety (required); OSHA 10/30 certification is preferred.
- Experience reviewing technical documentation, including one-line diagrams, procedures, drawings, specifications, and risk assessments.
- Proven ability to manage contractors, vendors, and multiple stakeholders while ensuring compliance with electrical safety and operational standards.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-risk construction environments.
