About the role
The Dalles, OR location is seeking Onsite Data Center Cabling Project Technicians for an 1-year project starting in June/July 2026.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and clean fiber cables
- Label cables on both ends with Flag Labeler - Customer to provide labeling schema
- Install pre-terminated fiber cables according to provided cabling matrix - Utilize existing pathways and overhead ladder racks/trays
- Secure and organize cables
- Provide the following onsite:
- Fiber inspection probe
- Labeler that prints flag labels
- Fiber cleaning kits
Requirements
- Hardware installation, configuration, break/fix, and decommissioning
- Familiarity with data center cabling:
- Copper and fiber
- Installation and troubleshooting
- Ability to understand port maps and point-to-point connections
- General understanding of enterprise-level data center infrastructure
Preferred Skills
- Project experience, including management or deployment
- Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools, such as:
- Not specified
- Experience with ticketing systems, such as:
- Remedy
- RemedyForce
- ServiceNow
