Data Catalog Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise metadata management and data catalog strategy.
• Ledeployment and adoption of enterprise data catalog, lineage, and governance capabilities.
• Establish governance processes, ownership frameworks, and stewardship models.
• Lead and mentor a team of data governance analysts and engineers.
• Partner with business data owners, stewards, product managers, and technology teams to drive governance adoption.
• Serve as Product Owner, managing roadmap, backlog, Agile delivery, and stakeholder feedback.
• Drive training, onboarding, governance workshops, and enterprise enablement programs.
• Promote governance best practices and increase enterprise-wide adoption of cataloging and lineage capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with 10+ years in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong expertise in metadata management, data cataloging, lineage, and governance frameworks.
• Experience leading enterprise data catalog implementations and governance platform rollouts.
• Product ownership experience in Agile environments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, data warehousing, and analytics ecosystems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Atlan and enterprise metadata management platforms.
• Experience with data quality and observability tools such as Anomalo.
• Exposure to AWS, GCP, Databricks, and modern cloud data architectures.
• Experience building semantic layers and metadata foundations for AI and Agentic AI solutions.
• Experience supporting data modernization, cloud migration, or enterprise data transformation programs.
