SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Manager of Data & Business Intelligence is responsible for transforming organizational data into trusted insights that drive operational, clinical, and strategic decision-making. This role leads enterprise KPI governance, business intelligence development, and data strategy, while partnering closely with MIS to ensure scalable, high-quality data infrastructure.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Business Intelligence & Insight Delivery: 25%

    • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and semantic models (Power BI)
    • Translate data into clear, actionable insights for leadership
    • Lead executive reporting and storytelling
    • Conduct trend, and variance analyses
  • KPI Ownership & Data Governance: 20%

    • Define, standardize, and govern enterprise KPIs (including but not limited to Corporate Objectives)
    • Maintain business glossary and metric definitions
    • Ensure a single source of truth across the organization
    • Establish data ownership and stewardship model
  • Data Strategy & Business Partnership: 20%

    • Own BI/analytics roadmap aligned to business priorities
    • Partner with HR, operations, and executive leadership
    • Translate business needs into data solutions
    • Prioritize initiatives and manage intake
  • Data Platform & Engineering Oversight: 20%

    • Oversee data pipelines, transformations, and curated datasets
    • Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of data assets
    • Partner with MIS on integrations, architecture, and ETL processes
    • Support data model design and optimization
  • Data Quality & Self Service Enablement: 15%

    • Lead data quality monitoring and remediation processes
    • Establish data quality KPIs and scorecards
    • Enable self-service analytics (Power BI governance, certified datasets)
    • Improve data literacy across business teams and data analysts

Qualifications

  • Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in data related field including IT, Accounting, Workforce Analytics, Data Science
  • Experience

    • 7-10 years of experience in data, process improvement
    • Proven experience: Building and scaling dashboards and reporting ecosystems (e.g., Power BI)
    • Owning and standardizing KPIs and business metrics across functions
    • Delivering executive-level insights and data storytelling
    • Strong track record partnering with business leaders (HR, Operations, Finance) to drive decisions
  • Certifications / Licenses

    • Professional certification
  • We prefer

    • 1+ years of management or equivalent experience working with leaders in data
    • Experience collaborating with IT/MIS teams on data pipelines, integrations, and architecture
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, navigate complex organizational dynamics, and serve as a trusted advisor
