Data/Business Analyst
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid – 3-4 days onsite)

Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying, tracking, and documenting instances of policyholder or transactional errors requiring remediation
- Support the analysis of impacted populations by reviewing policy records, transaction histories, and system data to determine scope and financial impact
- Help calculate remediation amounts (e.g., premium adjustments, interest, fees) under the guidance of senior analysts
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of remediation cases, including issue descriptions, root cause findings, and resolution steps, in compliance with internal and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Legal, Operations, and IT to gather information and support timely resolution of issues
- Assist in preparing remediation letters, notices, and payment files for impacted customers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to communication standards
- Track remediation project milestones and support reporting to leadership and regulatory stakeholders as needed
- Participate in quality assurance reviews to validate the accuracy and completeness of remediation efforts
- Support the identification of process gaps or systemic issues contributing to errors, and assist in developing recommendations for corrective action
- Maintain confidentiality and data integrity when handling sensitive customer and financial information
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience (internships, co-ops, or entry-level roles in insurance, financial services, compliance, or operations are a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain thorough documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with life insurance or annuity products and industry terminology
- Exposure to regulatory or compliance frameworks within financial services
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau)
- Understanding of root cause analysis or process improvement methodologies
Pay
The salary range for this role is $62,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.
