Data Architecture Consultant
Overview
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Data Architecture Consultant will play a key role in designing and implementing a data-centric platform that serves as a single source of truth, integrating diverse data sources across all phases of a new nuclear build, including design, licensing, procurement, construction, commissioning, and plant operations. The role will incorporate innovative, data-driven solutions that streamline workflows, enhance collaboration, and provide real-time analytics to support requirements management and traceability, records creation and control, change management, regulatory compliance demonstration, work control, maintenance planning and scheduling, and equipment reliability monitoring. In addition, the consultant will communicate the platform’s objectives and strategies to internal stakeholders and key external partners, collaborating with them to define roles, responsibilities, and decision-making authorities. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Responsibilities
- Implement the comprehensive data strategy for a single source of truth data-centric platform.
- Implement the Data Governance Framework that establishes effective data architecture and integration principles, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Identify the best solutions for the creation of digital twins for regulatory programs and the digital threads to requirements and plant equipment.
- Evaluate in-use enterprise asset management software and databases to identify opportunities for inclusion and elimination of redundancy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, data science, engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in data architecture, data management, or a related role.
- Experience working with and designing operational, change management, or records systems.
- Experience integrating data from a variety of disparate systems into a centralized location.
- Knowledge of a wide array of cloud providers, SaaS platforms, and data storage platforms, with experience making decisions about which technologies are optimal for a project's needs.
- Experience gathering requirements from stakeholders with varying backgrounds and advising on technical solutions.
- Experience leading and building technical teams, communicating stakeholder priorities and producing tasking accordingly, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders on project objectives.
- Strong knowledge of various database technologies (e.g., SQL), data integration (ETL/ELT and application integration) frameworks, and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data streaming services (e.g., Kafka).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or others.
- Expertise in data modeling and data warehousing principles, including an understanding of transactional schema, normalization/denormalization, star schema, snowflake schema, etc.
Qualifications
Work sponsorship is not available at this time. Third-party candidates will not be considered for this position. Because we are a federal government contractor, we have special restrictions placed on us for hiring foreign nationals into certain key positions within the company. This particular position requires U.S. citizenship.
