Data Architect

Duration: 9+ Months Location: MN-St. Paul, Hybrid 1-2 days onsite Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Data Architect, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges. Responsibilities Support design and implementation to improve, modernize, and transform data-driven service deliveryEnsure data assets are structured, accessible, secure, and align with DCYF and Enterprise goalsRecommend data platforms and tools to support enterprise data architectureDevelop data modelsEnsure data access patterns are optimizedMaintain necessary documentationCoordinate with necessary teams to meet security standardsSupport design and development of disaster recovery solutionsProvide knowledge transfer Qualifications Strong experience with designing, developing, and implementing data lakes and relational and non-relational databases in AzureStrong experience with DatabricksStrong experience with Oracle databasesExperience developing and implementing data transformation solutions and cloud infrastructure integrationsExperience coding and testing programs and scripts to load data using Azure data load utilitiesExperience with CI/CD pipelinesExperience with cloud computing conceptsExperience with tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Data Factory, SQL Analytics, Query Performance Insight, Azure Resource Manager, Pearl, and Azure CLI/PowerShell for infrastructure managementExperience in mentoring others in the needed technologiesExperience developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies using tools such as Azure Backup or Geo-replicationExperience with role-based access control, encryption, and network securityStrong organizational and time management skillsDesired 10 years of experience in data architecture or data managementKnowledge of data concepts, data modeling, schema design, and indexing strategiesKnowledge of Azure SQL instances, managed instances, and elastic poolsKnowledge of Data Warehouse Administration and Teradata Data Warehouse The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $185,000 or the hourly equivalent.
