Data Architect

About the Role

This Data Architect will design and govern the data layer of a customer’s Ad Order Management System, focusing on scalable data models, cloud-native solutions, and integration with existing and future-state architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data models for ad delivery, audience segmentation, campaign reporting, and billing that align with clients' existing systems and future-state architecture.
• Map relationships and dependencies, understanding how data flows between systems today and preserving implicit dependencies in the new architecture.
• Perform data exploration or Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on raw datasets to uncover key characteristics for AdSales Systems and build a comprehensive understanding of the current-state data landscape.
• Profile existing data sources, inventory, and characterize data assets, assessing data quality and identifying gaps or inconsistencies.
• Define data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration patterns across batch and real-time streams (e.g., ad impressions, click events, audience signals).
• Architect cloud-native data solutions using AWS services aligned to the approved tech stack, such as RDBMS, Graph, RAG, and Vector DBs.
• Design integration points between clients' legacy systems and the new microservices-based platform, ensuring well-defined and documented data flows.
• Establish data governance standards, including lineage, cataloging, access controls, and compliance with clients' privacy and security requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the AWS ProServe team and customer engineering to ensure alignment across workstreams.
• Maintain data architecture artifacts, including ERDs, data flow diagrams, schema definitions, and data dictionaries.

Requirements

• Must have experience designing data models for Real-Time Inventory, Order Management, and/or Logistics and Supply Chain Systems.

Pay

The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by work location, job level, and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position includes a bonus or variable payout component based on individual and organizational performance.
