About the role

Cohere is seeking dynamic and dedicated Data Annotators proficient in Modern Standard German. You will label, rank, audit, and correct machine learning data, ensuring its quality and integrity. This role requires strong language skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Label and rank machine learning data with advanced proficiency in German
• Audit and correct language data, including text, images, JSON, TSV/CSV, and Markdown
• Complete reading and text-based tasks with high attention to detail
• Evaluate and complete preference-based tasks, assessing German language responses against project guidelines
• Identify and suggest optimizations for improving data quality and model performance in German language tasks
• Provide feedback to cross-functional team members, particularly on German language-related matters

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in German
• Excellent command of English
• Basic familiarity with JSON/TSV/CSV/Markdown data manipulation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• High tolerance for repetitive and monotonous work
• Ability to follow complex instructions and work independently
• Curiosity about technology and problem-solving skills
• A reliable laptop

Qualifications

• Expert reading and writing skills, demonstrated through a written test
• Strong background in German language and culture
• Experience with data annotation tools and platforms
