About the role

The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix (COM-P) is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the full-time position of Data and AI Researcher II in Dr. Peipei Ping’s laboratory. Our lab develops integrative omics and AI-driven data science approaches to uncover how genes, proteins, and their dynamic interactions shape cardiovascular function and disease, with the goal of transforming large-scale biological and clinical data into actionable insights for diagnosis, treatment, and scientific discovery.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts research using advanced computational methods to analyze complex biomedical datasets.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to integrate omics data and develop predictive models.
  • Develops and implements machine learning algorithms to improve understanding of cardiovascular diseases.
  • Communicates research findings through presentations, publications, and reports.

Requirements

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with bioinformatics tools and programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL.
  • Strong background in statistics and machine learning.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
