About the role
This organization is seeking a Data Analyst to support client-facing data acquisition and migration initiatives across a variety of environments. Based in Northfield, NJ, hybrid flexibility, this role involves working with legacy systems to discover, extract, and transform data using tools such as SQL, Python, and reporting platforms. The position operates within a fast-paced professional services environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout different phases of the SDLC.
Responsibilities
- Work with legacy systems to discover, extract, and transform data using SQL, Python, and reporting platforms
- Extract and transform data from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources
- Gather and analyze system requirements for data acquisition initiatives
- Develop scripts and automation processes to streamline data processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
- Provide direct client interaction and support during data migration and analysis projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of experience in professional services, client implementations, or data migration projects
- Strong experience with SQL and relational database management systems (e.g., MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, AS400)
- Experience extracting and transforming data from various data sources
- Ability to gather and analyze system requirements for data acquisition initiatives
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in client-facing environments
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Familiarity with process automation and ETL workflows
- Exposure to reporting tools and data visualization platforms
- Knowledge of accounting, finance, payroll, or general business processes
- Experience working within Agile or SDLC-based project environments
