About the Opportunity

The Data Analyst, Software Engineering Track* ole is designed to investigate customer data inquiries that support critical business decisions while developing technical skills in software engineering. The position contributes by enhancing the accuracy and reliability of the data platform, directly impacting product quality and customer trust. It serves as a foundation for growth into a Junior Software Engineer role through skill development and collaboration with experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Investigate customer questions regarding platform data using SQL.
• Research issues thoroughly, identifying root causes across multiple data sources.
• Differentiate between expected platform behavior, educational opportunities, and product defects.
• Communicate findings clearly with Customer Success, Support, and customers when appropriate.
• Create detailed engineering tickets with reproduction steps and analysis.
• Develop expertise in the data model, business logic, and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Support to enhance platform quality.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities for improving data quality and processes.
• Aid Engineering in validating fixes to ensure complete resolution.
• Expand technical skills in Python, AI-assisted development, Git, and software engineering practices.
• Work alongside software engineers to learn software design, testing, and maintenance.
• Take on progressively technical projects aligned with skill growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of professional experience; recent graduates and interns are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis or investigation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Curiosity, ownership, and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Interest in a long-term software engineering career.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Base salary range: $80,000–$100,000 USD.
Cash compensation is based on location, role scope, candidate experience, and market data.
