Data Analyst, Security
About The Role
We are seeking a passionate Security Data Analyst with strong Python development skills to join our team in Austin, Texas, or remotely within the United States. This hybrid role involves parsing, transforming, and analyzing complex, unstructured, and structured datasets to support our cybersecurity mission.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of professional experience as a Python developer
- Proficiency in Python programming, including automation and scripting
- Strong understanding of data analysis techniques and data transformation
- Experience with Linux bash/ksh scripting and Regular Expressions
- Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, SQS, and API Gateway
- Experience building data solutions and ETL pipelines
- Familiarity with relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch, Databricks)
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to automate repetitive tasks
- Interest or background in cybersecurity is preferred
- Experience with version control systems like Git is a plus
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Parse, clean, and transform both structured and unstructured datasets to align with SpyCloud schemas
- Develop Python-based automation tools for data parsing and processing platforms
- Manage and monitor data ingestion pipelines to identify and resolve issues promptly
- Design and implement ETL automation scripts to streamline data workflows
- Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to build and optimize data systems
- Analyze data to support marketing initiatives, including blog content consumption insights
- Establish and maintain standards, processes, and CI/CD pipelines for code deployment and management
- Leverage AI and machine learning techniques to automate the parsing of complex datasets
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and automation processes

- Competitive base salary ranging from $111,000 to $144,000, based on experience and qualifications
